Carolyn Roberts

Mrs. Carolyn S. Roberts, age 78 of Fayette, died Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Norwood Chapel with Bro. Gene O’Brien officiating. Burial will follow in the Rehobeth cemetery. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Roberts was born September 18, 1936 in Fayette, the daughter of the late Rayburn Lawrence and Margaret Ayers Lawrence. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Betsy Roberts in 1977. Survivors include her husband, Thomas Roberts; one daughter, Margret (Bill) Bowling; one son, Mark Roberts; one sister, Betty L. Cargile; two brothers, Jeffie Lawrence and Jerry Lawrence; six grandchildren, Daniel Bowling, Hanna Bowling, Lea Anne Bowling, Will Bowling, Alex Roberts and Reed Roberts. Pallbearers are Ned Cargile, Jr., Steve Hall, Jerry O’Dell, David Hallman, Brian Litton and Chuck Brock.
