Louise Campbell

Mrs. Maggie Louise Campbell age 93 of Fayette passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at the Fayette Long Term Care Center. Funeral Service for Mrs. Campbell will be held Saturday February 21, 2015 at 11:00am at Norwood Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Fife officiating. Burial was at the Fayette Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. Mrs. Campbell was born May 20, 1921, in Fayette County, the daughter of the late Eddie Gilpin and Cliffer Mitchell Gilpin. She had been a life-long resident of Fayette County and had formerly worked at Fayette Manufacturing for many years and also at Robbie’s in Fayette for over fifteen years. She was a member of the Fayette Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey A. Campbell, a daughter, Wynell Campbell Payne; Four Brothers, Jim Ed Gilpin, Marvin Gilpin, Dewey Gilpin, Randolph Gilpin, five sisters, Bertha Hollingsworh, Myrtie Ehl, Jewel Duckworh, Nellie Cook, Geneva Campbell. Mrs. Campbell is survived by three sons, Jimmy A. (Deane) Campbell of Moody, Al; Charles Larry (Brenda) Campbell of Columbus, Ms.; Eddy D. (Martha) Campbell of Fayette; A son-in-law Danny (Joyce) Payne of Hartselle, Al. Nine grandchildren, Fifteen Great Grandchildren and Four Great-Great Grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
