Mrs. Ola Mae Gilreath Lay, age 79 of Fayette, died Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Fayette Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Norwood Chapel with Rev. Gene Nabors officiating. Burial will follow in the Wesley Chapel cemetery. The visitation will be Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Norwood Chapel. Mrs. Lay was born September 15, 1935 in Texas, the daughter of the late C. S. Jenkins and Pearlie South Jenkins. She was a resident of the Covin Community most of her life and was a member of the Belk Baptist Church. Before retiring, she worked at the Fayette Medical Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Gilreath, one brother and one sister. Survivors include one daughter, Melba (Mike) Madison of Northport; two sons, Malcom (Renette) Gilreath and Marty Gilreath of Fayette; one sister, Rachael Fields of Fitzgerald, GA; three brothers, Walter (Louise) Jenkins of Fitzgerald, GA, Waymon Jenkins of Fayette and John Jenkins of Belk; four grandchildren Chad (Kati) Gilreath, Kayla (Rick) Estis, Amy (Steve) Sawyer and Clay Madison; four great grandchildren, Robert Estis, Emma Grace Estis, Ty Sawyer and Levi Sawyer. Pallbearers are Chad Gilreath, Steve Sawyer, Clay Madison, Rick Estis, Samuel Fields and John Aaron.
