Margaret Walton McDonald

April 28, 1925 — January 24, 2015

Mrs. Margaret Walton McDonald age 89 of Fayette passed away Saturday January 24, 2015 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 25, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at Norwood Chapel with Rev. Russ McDonald and Rev. Alicia Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Vernon cemetery. The visitation will be Sunday at Norwood Chapel from 12:30pm until 2:30pm. Mrs. McDonald was born April 28,1925 in Walker County, the daughter of the late Lucious Walton and Floy Herron Walton. She was a resident of Fayette County most of her life and was a resident of the Luxapallila River Rd Community for 67 years. Mrs. McDonald was a member of the Chapel Hill/Pisgah Church. She and her husband Wyman had been married for 69 years. Her husband, Wyman McDonald, died Friday, January 23, 2015 Survivors include one son, Robert (Georgene) McDonald of Fayette; four grandchildren, Clay (Tiffany) McDonald of Cummings, GA, Rev. Russ (Rachel) McDonald of Ocala, FL, Daunn (Drew) Fuller of Tuscaloosa and Robin (Scott) Hardin of Guin; great-grandchildren, Ashley McDonald, Addison McDonald, Rusty McDonald, Ruby McDonald, Rosey McDonald, Hayley Hardin, Karlee Hardin, Dakotah Fuller and Zoe Fuller. 3 sisters: Sara Price, Bessie (Hershel) Hamm, and Billie Ann Walton all of Fayette;5 Brothers: Alvin (Frankie)Walton,Earl (Flora)Walton, Ben(Gerane)Walton all of Fayette, Howard (Mary)Walton of Huntsville, James Walton of Newton,Kansas. She was preceded in death by one sister, Nell Shelton and two brothers, Buddy Walton and Barney Walton. Pallbearers are Ben Walton, Earl Walton, Carl Ham, Tim Ham, Joel Ham and Tony Price.
