Robert "Bob" Leonard

Mr. Robert (Bob) Leonard, age 83 of the Hubbertville Community, died Friday, October 17, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 19, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at the Berea Church of Christ. Bro. Jesse Phillips, Bro. James Wyers and Bro. Jimmy McNees will officiate. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Bob was born November 21, 1930 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of the late Otto William Leonard and Rebecca Faye Williams Leonard. He was a resident of the Hubbertville Community for fourteen years and a former resident of White’s Chapel community for four years. He was a member of the Berea Church of Christ. Bob was a poet, and touched many people with his inspirational words. He preached the Gospel of our Lord and wrote many Biblical Booklets. Survivors include his wife Laverne Wiser Leonard; one daughter, Terri (Andrew) Hilgenberg of Tuscaloosa; one son, Mark L. Leonard of Callahan, FL; one sister, Ida Sutton; three brothers, Jim (Ruth) Leonard, Bill (Vera) Leonard and Joe Leonard; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Pallbearers are David Taylor, Andrew Hilgenberg, Eric Wiser, Greg Wiser, Joe Leonard, David McNees and Richard Wiser. Norwood Chapel of Fayette directing.
