Eva Nell Elmore

Mrs. Eva Nell Elmore, age 83 of Berry, died Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Hospice of West Alabama. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Norwood Chapel with Bro. Chris McCarley officiating. Burial will be in the Berry City cemetery. The visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 1:00-2:00. Mrs. Elmore was born April 4, 1931 in Lamar County, the daughter of the late Henry Morrison and Biddie Bobo Morrison. She was a resident of Berry for a number of years and formerly worked as a Florist. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Matthews; sister, Ruby Sparks; great grandson, Daniel Rae and great granddaughter, Crystal Hunnicutt. Survivors include four daughters, Joan Walker, Karen Hart, Toka Hammack and Tina Hawkins; three sons, J.R. Matthews (Shannon), Chris McCarley (Crystal) and Wade O’Shield; two sisters, Ruth Clifton and Eloise Phillips (J.M.); two brothers, Valford Morrison (Shelba) and Ranzy Morrison (Liz); fifty one grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
