Mr. Ascencion Chavez Fortanell, age 76 of Fayette, formerly of Mexico, died Thursday, September 19, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 22, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The visitation will be from 1:00 -3:00 p.m. at the church.
